apple cider cup (diy)

. . .
you will need: spoon, scoop (optional), knife, cutting board, round apple.

gently cut a round circle on the ''inner'' of the apple. don't cut down deep, just the surface.

now gently ''cut out'' the circle you just made. (use the knife for this) again, don't cut down, just take off the surface on top of the center core.

use a spoon and start scooping out the apple. be careful not to go too close to the edge.
(it's not fun starting over.)

continue scooping out the apple. once I got the edge on the top pretty ''hollowed'', I switched over to using a a scoop. whatever floats your boat.
continue this until you come to the core seeds.

once you come to the seeds, pick them out with your fingers or whatever you find useful.

continue digging out the apple until as hollow was you like. be careful not to go straight down to the bottom- you will have a hole. once it is hollowed out, set your apple aside.

simmer or instantly brew hot cider. I find it easier if you make it in a measure cup or something with a pour spout.

pour the hot cider into your apple. fill until it almost hits the rim.

add a cinnamon stick... or sprinkle ground cinnamon on top and swirl in.

voila & enjoy!
